Our Beloved, Mae Helen Pearson, born September 2, 1947, in Dorena, Missouri, peacefully passed away surrounded by loved ones at her home in Cairo, IL on March 13, 2025. Although she did not have a church home, she was a true believer in God, our heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. This was demonstrated in her unwavering faith.
She was a wonderful mother who was always there when you needed her the most. A friend to many, often lending her helping hands. Those that knew her best will agree that despite all of her trials and tribulations, if asked how she was doing, she would always answer " I'm Blessed, I'm Ok". She leaves behind a legacy of kindness and strength, touching the lives of all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her husband, J.L. Pearson, brother, William McGruder mother, Minnie Bell McGruder and father, William McGruder Sr.
Mae Helen leaves behind her children: Mary Lester, Truly Dodds, Minnie Gift, Eddie Lawrence, Catherine Ellis, Antonio Lawrence, and Rickey Lawrenc
