MURPHYSBORO - Russell "Wink" Wingerter, 89, of Murphysboro died Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at his home.Russell had worked at Morgan Ford Tractor, became a Murphysboro policeman, and finally as a owner/operator of Wink's Radiator and Air Conditioning.Survivors include his son, Bruce Wingerter; daughter, Theresa Starnes; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.He is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Bernice (Bright) Wingerter; and wife, Alvalyne Qualls.Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, March 10, in Murdale Gardens of Memory, with the Rev. Jim Easton officiating.
