Gwendolyn "Jean" Plucker, 86, of Murphysboro, left this world to go to her heavenly home on Saturday, Feb. 15, 2025 at 8:35 a.m. after coffee with her son at her residence.She was born on May 6, 1938, and was adopted by Paul K. and Georgia "Varnum" Meadors at age five. They also adopted one birth brother, Paul L. Meadors. Gwendolyn lost contact with two other brothers until late in life. One brother and her only sister died before the adoption.Gwen married Leslie Plucker, and they had three children, Connie (Stanley) Fowler of Carbondale, Cindy (Dale) Armstrong of Blue Springs, Missouri, and Curtis Eric (Janet) Plucker of Murphysboro, who will miss her and her strong coffee. Also left to treasure her memory are nine grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and one brother, Ray of California.Gwen enjoyed her flowers, her family, and reading her Bible.
