Jerry Long, Jr. 74 of rural Tamms, Illinois (Sandusky) passed away Wednesday August 7, 2024 at his residence surrounded by family. He was born in Dorian, Mississippi on April 18, 1950 to the late Vernon Long and Eula Mae (Thompson) Long. Jerry attended school in Dorian, Mississippi and later joined Job Corp in Kansas City, Kansas. Upon completion of Job Corp he moved to Benton Harbor, Michigan. Jerry worked for the city of Benton Harbor as a Heavy Equipment Operator until his retirement and later moved to Sandusky, Illinois where he resided until his passing.
Jerry loved Motorcycles, his passion for them led him to the midnight riders motorcycle club. He also loved music, dancing, fishing, playing his harmonica and being surrounded by family and friends.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, sisters: Miller Ann Johnson, Vera Mae Jones and Lorene Woodson. Brothers; Doug Long and Vernell Long, one Aunt Erma Jean Bell, two nieces, Vickie Smith and Loretta Woodson, two nephews, Robe
