ALHAMBRA - Rosella M. McCoig, 86, of Alhambra, died Monday, Aug. 5, 2024, at Gillespie Health & Rehab Center in Gillespie.She was born on Sunday, Oct. 3, 1937, in Licking, Missouri, the daughter of Sam and Anna (nee Miller) Crabtree.She married SSgt. James Freeman McCoig, Sr. in 1964 at Carlinville, who passed away on Tuesday, April 29, 1975.Rosella was born in Licking, Missouri. She grew up in Licking, southern Missouri, and later in Murphysboro, Southern Illinois. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, walking and dancing. She was a loving mother and grandmother, who was always on the go.Survivors include daughter, JoAnn Cross, Alton; son, Roy Alonzo Day, Alhambra; daughter, Linda (Rick) Bondy, Staunton; daughter, Vickie (Jimmy) Pocklington, Carlinville; daughter, Ellie May (Brian) Schreiber, Gillespie; daughter, Joyce M.
