William Douglas "Doug" Nichols, 60, passed away on August 2, 2024, in Carbondale, Illinois. Born on April 22, 1964, in Henderson, Kentucky, Doug was known for his kind-hearted nature and dedication to his family, especially his nephews and nieces, whose happiness brought him immense joy.

Doug is survived by his brothers, Greg (Cherryl) Nichols and Christopher (Carmen) Nichols; nephews Dalton, Ryan, Shawn, and Dylan; nieces Courtney and Chantel; and several great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Shirley and William Nichols.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Noon on August 31, 2024, at Audubon Park's Sycamore Shelter in Henderson, Kentucky. Attendees are kindly asked to bring a side dish to complement the main food items provided.
