BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Judy Lowe, 82, died Monday, June 17, 2024, at Grandview Medical Center in Birmingham, Alabama.She was a retired teacher after 35 years teaching in the Ava, Illinois, and Johnson City Community Unit 1. She was a life member of Washington Avenue Baptist Church in Johnston City.She is survived by her daughter Kelly J. Stinson; step-daughter, Kimberly Whitecotton; step-son Kenny Lowe; step-son, Gary Lowe; two grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents, Terrill B. and Violet Hamlin; her husband, H. Vernon Lowe; one sister and four brothers.Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, June 28, at Wilson-McReynolds Funeral Home, 900 N. Court St., Marion. A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 29, in the funeral home, with Barry Robertson presiding.
